Designed for smartphones, the Zhiyun Smooth 4 3-Axis Gimbal gives your mobile footage a more professional look and feel. Using the ZY Play app, you can control the gimbal and your Android or iOS device. Zoom in, start or stop recording, capture still images, and more. Tailored to mobile film makers, it has added functionality like the Vertigo zoom effect, POV Orbital Shot, and advanced shooting techniques like roll-angle, time lapse, and motion lapse. The revised controls are more ergonomic, with a large dual-purpose follow focus knob, a quick action trigger, and separate switch for changing modes. With up to 12 hours of run time and the ability to charge your phone from the internal batteries, you will be able to shoot all day long.

Made for smartphone movie makers, the 3-Axis Zhiyun Smooth 4 smartphone gimbal features upgraded brushless motors that can help you capture professional quality video. With 240° of tilt and roll, the gimbal stronger motors allow for more versatile movements so you can get more creative with your filming process.

Supports upto 210 grams payload

Using three high-speed 32-bit Micro Controller Units (MCU) running in parallel allows the stabiliser to support a hefty 3.2kg payload, making it suitable for both DSLR and mirrorless cameras with a wide range of lenses. An improved algorithm increases motor torque by 50% and reduces operational noise by 20% making the gimbal more powerful and versatile than any other on the market.

Zhiyun play app functionality

Download the ZY Play app for your iOS or Android device and you can unlock the gimbal's full potential. Once paired, you can use the Smooth 4 to control your phones camera settings. Change things like exposure, ISO, white balance, and shutter speed all without touching the screen. You can easily switch from shooting video to stills, or choose other settings like full-auto mode.

Dual action follow focus and zoom wheel

On the units side, you will find a large dual-purpose follow focus wheel, the first of its kind for a gimbal. It lets you smoothly pull your focus from one object to another for an amazing cinematic look. Tapping the FN button switches the knob into zoom control mode so you can get up close or put a little distance between you and your subject.

Ergonomic control with easy operation

Along with the new follow focus knob, the Smooth 4 has a revised control panel for a more intuitive experience. A dedicated switch lets you change gimbal modes easily, without having to cycle through menu options. A trigger button gives you quick action mode changes. Start filming in one mode, hold the trigger down to access another, then let it go to return to your original shooting mode. This allows you to capture two different gimbal movements in one take.

Vertigo and POV orbit shoot

Among the filmmaker style functions provided by the gimbal is the Vertigo Shot which helps you replicate the dolly/zoom effect. POV orbital shot allows you to capture footage from your own point of view, giving your audience a first-hand look at the action.

Time laps mode and object tracking

Other supported features include Slow Motion, Freestyle Time Lapse, Motionlapse, Timelapse, and Hyperlapse. These modes let you control the flow of time in your videos so you can choose the perfect speed for each scene. Object Tracking works on peoples faces and other subjects so you can follow them easily as they move, keeping them in your frame as you record.

Versatile recording modes

Within the host of different gimbal modes is the PhoneGo function. Using this mode enables a superfast motor response for quicker movements and smooth transitions between scenes. The dedicated slider button on the handle lets you switch between Pan Following and Locking modes.

12 hrs battery life and smartphone charging

With up to 12 hours of battery life, you can easily record for long sessions. A battery level indicator lets you know how long youäó»ve got before your next recharge. Connect a separately available power pack via the USB Type-C port for even longer run time. You can even charge your Smartphone using the Smooth 4 batteries with two-way charging to keep both your phone and gimbal running.

Includes mini tripod and carry case

The kit comes with a convenient EVA carry case that holds the 3-axis gimbal as well as the batteries, charger, mini tripod, and the various included cables. The custom designed case provides padded storage for the each component and ensures your gear stays safe and secure during transport.
